News Update 5/09/09
Welcome to the Red sands of Senagakure. This village was recently built off of the ruins of Sunagakure, destroyed apparently by its own Storm that surrounds its oasis'.
This village was founded by Senkokuriu, who had other intentions for the new village hidden in the sand. The sand is red now, no longer golden tan, like the villagers of Suna had grown accustom to. It was Deep red now, blood red. Many believe its from the leftover blood of the lost village called Suna, while more logical nin, think of that as foolish, and believe it is merely the reflectant of the now brighter and redder sun that hovers over Sena. The Rise of Red State!

Odd occurrences around the village has sparked to life the rumor of the Red State. This area mainly falls around the walls of the Sand's Ninja Academy, where a large rise has appeared in the number of students to each classroom. Blueprints on the construction of new classes has been speculated, and Senagakure seems to be running short on sensei.
However the situation quickly resolved itself, as the village noticed an instant decrease in student population soon after. The black shell is believed to have stopped accepting new inmates, scheduling them to be sent out of the village and kept at a secure intervillage prison facility. Is there a connection between these events? Speculators think so. They believe that the legend of the Village Beneath the sand has risen among the chaos already surrounding the village. Talk has gone around of a breach in village security--that the Red State could even hold authority in high ranking positions right now! The Red State is a cunning group, a group that has not lost the true meaning of being a shinobi.

Death of the Council

The Village Beneath the Sand--AKA The Red State--seems to have made a large impact on the residents of Senagakure. Many devoted and powerful ninja have been seen fleeing the village, in an attempt to seek out and join the ranks of the Red State. Those not so loyal to Senagakure all have been itching to know the truth, to know if this fabled legend truly exists. The joining of the Red State would give many more opportunities, and a release from the oppressive ways of the Sand.

Earlier, it was learned that the Red State even held people in ranks so high as the Village Council. Rumor has it that a council member was killed while interrogating someone believed to be from the state, and by a fellow councilman no less. The news has no credibility, and could simply be a leak to scare people into joining. Nonetheless, a message has sprouted from an unknown source to all of Sena's residence:

"We of the Sand hold true to its meaning. We have not lost ourselves within the politics of the real world.
One by one your people will learn the meaning to this, as we destroy you from the inside out. There will be victims-and they will be innocent-until you meet with the demands of the Father of the Sand."

This message is speculated to be from the Red State, of course, but no one truly knows its source. It could be a prank, it could be real--only time will tell. Many people think waiting is the foolish thing to do, as it is waiting for death. Others are highly disappointed in Senagakure's military power to stop this threat. This has brought a lot of Sand villagers to their breaking point, running to join the Red State out of fear.

Whether cowards, or powerful ninja inspired by Red State's cause, legend has it that these ninja will be introduced to a world of power the world has never encountered before. It won't be long until the rise of Red State.
